All-inclusive UK summer cruise featuring comedian John Bishop on sale – from £999pp

CRUISE fans should take note of MSC's newly launched all-inclusive staycation cruise, which sets sail this summer for seven nights.

Comedian John Bishop will be performing live on the ship, which will tour the UK coastline.

The seven-night sailing on the brand new MSC Virtuosa will take passengers around the British Isles, with visits including The Isle of Portland in Dorset, Liverpool and Greenock, on Scotland's east coast.

The trip, taking place on June 5, will depart from Southampton, stopping at Portland on day two, Liverpool on day four and Greenock on day five, before returning to Southampton on day eight.

It is all-inclusive, meaning guests don't have to worry about picking up the bill for their meals, with options including Butcher's Cut steakhouse and Kaito Sushi Bar, as well as a premium drinks package, which includes unlimited draught beer, house wines and cocktails. Service charge and tips are included too.

As well as a range of eateries and restaurants, there are 21 bars and lounges to choose from, including a Champagne Bar and the Sky Lounge, where you can enjoy a drink to live piano music.

Prices start from £999pp for a balcony room, going up to £2,199pp for a MSC Yacht Club Deluxe Suite – to book a cabin click here.

Guests will also be treated to an exclusive adults-only performance with award-winning comedian John Bishop.

They aren't the only events on board with West End style theatre productions like ‘Le Ciel de Paris', ‘The Big Apple’ musical and the lively Italian production ‘Capriccio’.

There are also five different pools to take a dip in and one of the biggest and most intricate waterparks at sea.

Alternatively, guests can indulge in a spot of retail therapy at the many shops, work up a sweat at the gym, play a game at the bowling alley or visit MSC Starship Club, where you can have a signature cocktail shaken up by Rob, the first humanoid robotic bartender at sea.

After months without any pampering during lockdown, guests will also relish the chance to spend some time at the MSC Aurea Spa, which has tailored face treatments, massages and aromatherapy on offer.

All UK guests have to have Covid-19 travel insurance in place before the cruise.

Guest who haven't had the vaccine or are yet to have both vaccine shots will need to take a lateral flow or PCR swab test within 72 hours before the ship’s departure.

Covid protocols will be in place, with mandatory pre-boarding health and Covid-19 screenings and masks required during the cruise as directed by MSC.
