Alton Towers reveals new CBeebies Land expansion – with Hey Duggee & Andy’s Adventures Dinosaur Dig attractions in 2022

THREE new attractions are coming to CBeebies Land in Alton Towers in next spring.

Families can enjoy the theme park's new additions, which include live shows, play areas and an interactive bug trail.


Kids will be able to climb, slide and bounce through the Hey Duggee Big Adventure Badge, a new play and adventure land.

They will also be able to meet CBeebies character Duggee, a dog who runs a club for pre-schoolers, and collect their own Big Adventure badge.

A Hey Duggee-themed live show called The Map Badge is also coming to the theme park.

Dinosaur fans will be able to immerse themselves in prehistoric sights and sounds in the new live interaction show attraction Andy's Adventures Dinosaur Dig.

Based on the TV show Andy's Adventures, kids can dig and discover with Andy.

The theme park will also see a JoJo & Gran Gran attraction come to CBeebies land.

Fans will be able to explore Gran Gran's house from the TV animation show in the new attraction JoJo & Gran Gran At Home.

And a new bug interactive trail and Bing and Flop live show will open at the theme park, will new Bing-themed bedrooms are to open at the CBeebies Land Hotel.

While an official opening date is yet to be announced, the theme park confirmed it will be by spring 2022.

Natasha Spence, Head of Attractions, Live Entertainment at BBC Studios said: “CBeebies Land offers a brilliant and unique opportunity for young children and their families to experience some of their favourite CBeebies shows and friends as they are brought to life.

"The additions of the brand-new Hey Duggee play and adventure land and live show, plus Jojo & Gran Gran and Andy’s Adventures attractions, as well as the new Bing live show and themed hotel rooms are incredibly exciting and add to what is already a rich portfolio of children’s brands in this dedicated Land.”

CBeebies Land is currently home to a range of shows, rides and attractions suited for kids, including family favourites Postman Pat, Peter Rabbit, In the Night Garden, The Teletubbies and Iggle Piggle.

A traditional Christmas market has also come to Alton Towers this year to help guests get into the festive spirit – here are some of the other Christmas takeovers at UK theme parks this year.
