Best travel deals for Black Friday 2021

Black Friday can be a shopping frenzy, but it’s always better to buy things you’ll use that’ll bring you joy.

If you’re the type of person who prefers experiences to ‘stuff’, you can still take advantage of the savings too.

For Black Friday this year – which falls on November 26 for 2021 – there are a whole host of travel bargains to be had.

A MoneySuperMarket survey recently estimated we’ll be spending around £179 each on travel during the sale day – making it one of our three biggest splurges – suggesting we’re all in the mood for holidays over physical items.

So if you’re planning a break – especially now worldwide travel restrictions are winding down – it might be the perfect time to purchase.

From sales with major flight companies to flash savings on UK staycation accommodation, here are our top picks for travel this Black Friday.

We’ll be updating the offers as they’re released, so check back if you don’t see what you’re after.

Metro.co.uk’s Black Friday shopping sense check

We love to bring you the best available bargains for Black Friday, but don’t want you to go into debt or suffer financial hardship as a result.

When shopping the sales, ask yourself these questions to ensure you’re buying smart:

  • Do I need this? If your cooker has broken and needs replaced, this would be an essential purpose, while a new smoothie maker or air fryer is a desire not a need.
  • Can I afford this? If you need to put something on credit – or put off essential spending to purchase it – you can’t afford it. If it’s a ‘want’ purchase, that means you should avoid. If it’s a ‘need’ purchase, look for the most affordable option.
  • Am I buying for the sake of it? Whether it’s a gift or something for yourself, consider if you’re buying just to take advantage of discounts. For the environment and your bank balance, try to buy with intention. This could mean fewer, better quality garments you actually love (instead of throwaway trend-led fashion), or only buying gifts you know will be treasured, rather than disposable trinkets.

For Black Friday, they’re offering £50 off all trips with a minimum spend of £200. The deal runs until midnight on November 30, and will be automatically applied on all sites booked through the website.

The operator also has a separate deal running in the lead up to Christmas, where you can buy any gift card in November or December and get an extra gift card for free. Only one free gift card can be used per booking, but it’s a good way to save some pennies while seeing the world.
