Britain's most popular holiday home – and it's booked up until 2025 | The Sun
BRITIAN'S most popular holiday home is already booked for at least the next two years, meaning anyone hoping to stay there is in for a long wait.
Clavell Tower in Wareham, Dorset is a four storey circular tower that stands high on the cliff overlooking Kimmeridge Bay on the south coast.
It was built in 1830 and previously housed famous writers including PD James and Thomas Hardy.
The tower is managed by the Landmark Trust, a charity that saves historic buildings "in danger of being lost forever".
They restore the buildings before offering them a new future by making them available for self-catering holidays.
The trust salvaged the tower in 2002 after it was left close to the edge of a crumbling cliff.

It was dismantled and resurrected further back from the cliff’s edge, carefully positioned to capture as many of its original sight lines within the landscape as possible.
A four night stay in the tower will set you back £580, with two people able to stay in the one available double bed.
The bedroom, on the third storey, has a door onto a balcony that circles the whole building and the seating area on the top floor offers a great view of the sea.
The South West Coastal Path runs along past its door and guests have a ten-minute walk from the car park to the tower.
