A BRITISH Airways pilot has revealed when to avoid travelling this year – and it's not good news for families.
The anonymous pilot has spoken out about the recent travel chaos, which has seen thousands of Brits miss their holidays due to cancelled flights and airport queues.
Following the chaos, they have since explained why you might want to rethink that summer holiday to Spain.
They told the Mirror: "If you're looking at going on an easyJet from Gatwick in the school holidays in Alicante, probably not."
It wasn't all doom and gloom, as they said there were some times that were best for Brits who really needed a holiday abroad.
They continued: "Maybe midweek out of the school holidays, at a low demand time, yeah go for it."

However, they warned that there was "no chance" of summer normality due to a number of reasons, including a shortage of staff.
And even more BA flights will be grounded on top of the 16,000 already cancelled, they said.
Airport union Prospect's general secretary Mike Clancy said the current chaos had a "really damaging impact" on holidaymakers and was unlikely to be solved by next month.
He told BBC: "It would be difficult to give anybody the confidence at the present minute, that we are going to be okay by the school holidays in July."

And Union Unite's General secretary Sharon Graham added: "There is now a chronic shortage of staff and I can’t see how it’s going to change by July. If they don’t get their act together, this chaos could go on until next year."
However, the boss of Cornwall Airport Newquay has admitted the industry should have been better prepared to prevent travel chaos, but is optimistic that the situation will improve in time for summer getaways.
Tim Jeans told BBC Radio 4's Today programme: "We should have planned better, we should have understood that the peak would come back particularly this summer, but it came back earlier than people anticipated."
Mr Jeans said the "good news for the summer" is that recruitment is taking place at pace and airlines have cancelled flights they do not believe they can operate.
"It is going to take 18 months for our industry to recover, but that doesn't mean there should be the sort of chaos and disruption we've seen in the last few weeks."
