Butlin’s claims their holidays are four times cheaper than staying at home | The Sun

BUTLIN'S have claimed that their Showtime breaks are currently as much as four times cheaper than four days' worth of family holiday activities while staying at home.

The park also claims to have the "best value holiday ever" available, with families able to get away from just £3pp per night.

Research carried out by Butlin's shows that their mid-week four-day stays, available from £49 for a family of four, are a quarter of the price of four days' worth of family activities.

For 25 per cent of the price of seeing a west-end theatre show, visiting a water park, going to a soft play centre and spending the day at a theme park, a family of four could do the same activities and have accommodation too.

Those Showtime break deals are available at all of the Butlin's resorts in Minehead, Bognor Regis and Skegness.

Guests will have access to a wide range of activities, including on-site soft play centres, swimming pools with slides, flumes and rapids, unlimited fairground rides and multiple daily live entertainment shows.

Meanwhile, Skegness will have four new fairground rides and the opening of SKYPARK.

The new £2.5million playground will have six different zones, each with slides, climbing towers and even the longest seesaw in the UK.

In the middle will be the 45ft Tower of Excitement which has panoramic sea views and an illuminated 32ft slide.

Mike Godolphin, Entertainment Director at Butlin’s, said: “Our research reveals the enormous price difference between a fun-filled trip to Butlin’s and spending a break away elsewhere in the UK with the family.

“With more Showtime breaks on sale than ever before, we’re doing what we can to ensure families get incredible value for money on their holidays, especially amid a cost of living crisis.”

Prices quoted are based on a four-night Showtime Midweek break for a family of four sharing a two-bedroom silver room in Minehead, from February 6, 2023.

The deals run throughout the year during term time and showcase the best of Butlin’s.
