Cheap London hotels for King Charles coronation weekend in 2023 – from £31pp a night | The Sun

THE King Coronation Ceremony is expected to bring millions of tourists from all over the world to London next year.

We scoured the internet to find the best deals around, but you'll have to be quick to bag a good deal on your stay.

Although Charles officially became King following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, it is tradition to wait a sufficient time period of mourning before crowning the new sovereign. 

Buckingham Palace has officially announced that the Coronation of King Charles will take place on May 6, 2023, at Westminster Abbey in London.

We've found different types of stays, from budget-friendly hotels and property rentals to luxury hotels.

The cheapest deals we've found come from Travelodge, with plenty of double and family rooms still available across the city.

The cheapest double room we've found is at the Wood Green Travelodge, which is 5.3 miles away from Central London and costs from £180 per room for two-night stays.

The deal works out at £45 per person per night for two adults sharing.

Here are the best Travelodge deals on double rooms:

  • London Peckham (3.8 miles from Central London) – 2 nights from £208 per room
  • London Greenwich (5.3 miles from Central London) – 2 nights from £199 per room
  • London Central City Road (1.5 miles away from Central London) – 2 nights from £270 per room

  • London Finsbury Park (3.1 miles from Central London) – 2 nights from £291 per room
  • London Battersea (4.5 miles from Central London) – 2 nights from £268 per room

Easyhotels have deals on double rooms starting from £77 per night, per room, in the Victoria, Paddington and South Kensington hotels.

Online hotel travel agency Booking.com has some good deals too:

Room for two adults sharing:

  • Admiral Hardy Greenwich (5.4 miles from Central London) – 2 nights from £340 per room
  • Snoozebox Olympic Park Newham (5.2 miles from Central London) – 2 nights from £178 per room
  • President Hotel Camden (1 mile from Central London) – 2 nights from £460 per room

Room for two adults and two children sharing:

  • Aparthotel Adagio London Stratford (5.8 miles from Central London) – 2 nights from £592 per room
  • Welcome Stay Clapham Junction 2 Bedroom Apartment Wandsworth (3.3 miles from Central London) – 2 nights from £585 per stay
  • ibis London Earls Court (3.4 miles from Central London) – 2 nights from £498 per room

If you'd rather stay in an apartment, VRBO and Snaptrip still have plenty of accommodation rentals available.

For instance, three-bedroom apartments in Central London cost from £383 for two nights.

The apartment can sleep up to six people, meaning you could bag a stay from just over £31pp a night.

Smaller options are available too, with one-bedroom flats (sleeping up to four) available from £350 in the City.
