Christmas at Disneyland Paris revealed – with a new parade, Lion King show and 3-day package holidays from £398pp

THIS year, Disneyland Paris s pulling out all the stops for the festive season with a brand-new parade, dazzling after-dark illuminations and the return of The Lion King show.

The brand-new daily Christmas parade will kick off on 13 November this year with best-loved Disney characters such as Micky, Minnie, Donald and Goofy decked out in their finest festive attire joined by Santa Claus in Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade.

The parade will feature five gigantic floats representing an idyllic Christmas scene with traditional decorations and parade performers dressed in luminous costumes designed for the occasion.

According to Disneyland Paris’ Show Director Emanuel Lenormand, “This new Parade is a surprise because there is a daytime version and it becomes a new show come nightfall with hundreds of thousands of lights that illuminate these floats and tell a new story.”

The park will be bedecked in spectacular Christmas decorations too – with guests welcomed into the park’s Main Street by a huge 24-metre-high Christmas tree shining with a thousand twinkling lights, plus garlands and ornaments galore, and no less than 78 Nordic spruces scattered around the parks.

For a little extra Xmas magic, visitors will be able to experience it snowing in Main Street more than 12 times a day.

Disneyland Paris will celebrate the return of night-time Disney Illuminations on 21 December, with breathtaking pyrotechnics, projections and light shows set against the backdrop of the iconic Cinderella’s Castle.

The popular The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands 30-minute show which also will make its comeback this 23 October at the park’s Frontierland Theatre.

Along with seasonal sights and sounds, the theme park will bring a taste of Christmas to its restaurants and eateries too, with the return of Chef’s Enchanting Festive Cuisine events on 24 and 31 December, plus brunches on 25 December and 1 January.

Guests will not only be able to feast on a variety of seasonal dishes such as stuffed turkey or Christmas Yule Log, there will be themed treats such as Minnie's Christmas tartlet and gingerbread trees on offer.

Colourful festive drinks and cocktails will be available at Disney Resorts bars, plus all Disney’s Hotels will be festooned in festive decorations too with specially decorated rooms and surprise gift packages available.

The Christmas events at Disneyland Paris will run from 13 November 2021 to 9 January 2022, with Santa Claus present until 25 December.
