With just a few sleeps left until Christmas, the festive season is in full swing.
So why not treat yourself to some last minute outings to get in the spirit of things?
There’s a festive doggy menu available at the Hilton for your pooch’s Christmas present, a seasonal afternoon tea at a posh hotel in Liverpool (for humans only), and a Dickensian adventure.
And if you’ve got last minute Christmas shopping or need a place to get ready for the office party, a new app lets you book a base for the afternoon at a premium hotel.
Mondrian Shoreditch London
If you want to take all the pressure off preparing Christmas dinner or hosting friends and family this year, escape to a fabulous hotel that will do it all for you.
Mondrian Shoreditch London, which opened this autumn, is welcoming guests on December 24 and 25 with Christmas treats in Christina’s, its cocktail bar, and special in-room festive amenities.
Then enjoy a full feast either at Bibo, the Spanish restaurant overseen by Michelin-starred Dani Garcia, or on the rooftop at Altitude at The Curtain, which offers stunning views across east London. Hilton’s festive menu for dogs
Hilton has launched a festive gourmet menu for dogs across 29 of its properties in the UK and Ireland, available up until December 31 and via room service.

Dayuse short stays
New app Dayuse is bringing an elegant solution to the problem of needing somewhere relaxing and comfortable to get changed before the office Christmas party (rather than the shared loos), or to destress after barging your way along the high street looking for the perfect presents.
It means you can book into your favourite hotel for just a short stay — several hours, rather than overnight — for a fraction of the normal cost.
With access to facilities, from gyms to spas, it could be the perfect base from which to do your Christmas shopping or party prep.
Sample cost: from 9am to 6pm at Hotel Indigo, Edinburgh, is £50, or from 11.30am to 4pm at The Hux, Kensington, is £60.
A Dickens Family Christmas Experience
The true spirit of Christmas involves ghosts, misers and upstanding family values, according to Charles Dickens.
Now families can immerse themselves in one of his most famous stories with A Dickens Family Christmas Experience, a mix of fun street theatre and entertainment.
You’ll embark on a journey through London’s cobbled streets, meeting characters from A Christmas Carol, before ending at the George Inn in Borough.
Can you convince Scrooge to change his miserable ways and embrace the joy of Christmas? There’s only one way to find out…
Tickets on selected dates from £18.50.
