Family holiday boost as popular destination scraps Covid rules for kids

TUNISIA has scrapped more of their Covid restrictions for Brits planning a holiday to the country.

Kids up to the age of 18 no longer need to be fully vaccinated or have any Covid tests to enter the country.

Previously, anyone over the age of six needed to have a negative Covid test to enter Tunisia.

Vaccinated adults also don't need any tests, but will still need to show evidence of being fully vaccinated.

The Tunisian Embassy in London confirmed last month that anyone who has had both jabs can skip the testing “if they can present a certificate to prove they have been fully vaccinated or a vaccine pass”.

While unvaccinated Brits can still travel to Tunisia, they will need a negative Covid tests, as well as self-isolate for five days on arrival.

The Tunisian National Tourist Office also confirmed that Tunisia's passenger locator forms had been "removed until further notice".

It is another welcome boost for Brits planing a family holiday this summer, after years of travel rules and disruptions.

Many other countries are easing their Covid rules for vaccinated Brits.

Dubai is the latest destination which no longer requires tests from vaccinated arrivals.

And Spain has lifted more of its vaccine restrictions, after it scrapped the rules requiring teenagers to have both jabs to enter.

Iceland has lifted all of their Covid travel restrictions, including for unvaxxed holidaymakers.

It is one of the first countries to remove all rules enforced during the pandemic.

The UK has also lifted nearly all of the travel restrictions for holidaymakers, with Covid tests no longer required from vaccinated travellers.

Arrivals only need to fill in a Passenger Locator Form, although it is hoped this could be scrapped by Easter.

Unvaccinated arrivals must still pay for pre-arrival and day two Covid tests.
