First look at new Jumanji land coming to Chessington World Of Adventures next spring | The Sun

CHESSINGTON World of Adventures has announced that a Jumanji-themed land will be opening at the theme park next spring.

The new 'World of Jumanji' which promises to offer "a world-first experience that deep dives into the adventurous, action-packed stories seen in the box office hit Jumanji films."

The images show the "entrance portal", which is shrouded in the ominous and overgrown Jumanji jungle that will dominate the new land.

Chessington describe this as "the perfect immersive starting point for guests as they prepare to take on a whole host of challenges."

There is also the "iconic and unmissable jaguar shrine structure" which will loom 55ft tall, keeping a watchful eye out over all who enter, as it awaits the return of the curse-lifting Jaguar’s Eye jewel.

More details about the rides, attractions and experiences that guests can expect to discover in the ‘World of Jumanji’ are set to be shared by the park over the coming months.

"We are thrilled to be going on this exciting adventure with the creative team at Chessington as Jumanji further expands with its very own themed land."

Just last month Chessington opened a new Shipwreck coast which includes two new rides, Trawler trouble and Barrel Bail Out.

In Barrel Bail Out, guests are whizzed around in barrels trapped in a whirlpool that they have to empty of water.

Meanwhile, on Trawler Trouble the captain of a trapped fishing boat needs help getting it freed, so guests will be tossed around like they're riding choppy waves.

The new rides sit alongside Seastorm, with its spinning miniature galleons, and the Blue Barnacle.

The land takes inspiration from coastal harbour towns with nautical themes such as lighthouses, boats, sails, fishing nets and anchors.
