First look at the new rollercoaster opening next year with the only ‘sideways drop’ in the world | The Sun

THE first rollercoaster in the world to have a "sideways drop" is set to welcome visitors at the beginning of next year.

Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi is known as the first Ferrari-branded theme park.

It is home to the fastest rollercoaster in the world, but come January 12, 2023 it will also house Mission Ferrari.

The 5D rollercoaster invites guests to board a Ferrari spy car to experience an inverted loop and other special effects as well as the "world's first sideways coaster drop".

While most guests will have to wait until the second week of January for a ride, Annual Pass Holders will be able to enjoy exclusive access from January 5, 2023.

There are also a number of other car-themed rollercoaster rides at the park, including Flying Aces, Turbo Track, and Fiorano GT Challenge.

Smaller kids can enjoy the park as well, with playgrounds and cinema rides.

While for adults, the highlight has to be being able to drive a Ferrari in real life.

Real car enthusiasts can even try their hand a changing the tyres of a Formula 1 car and trying to beat the clock.

Tickets for the park start from AED 325 (£73.08) for adults and AED 250 (£56.22) for kids.
