Before Covid, a Haven break gave guests full access to all the facilities, but that was restricted when the pandemic hit.

Since restrictions were lifted, guests have had a choice between a holiday with full access to facilities, or to use the holiday home as a base to go out and explore the local area.

The holiday packages were called Stay and Stay+Play, but they have been renamed to make it easier for guests to choose exactly what they want from their trip.

Stay holiday breaks are now Haven Hideaways, which allows families to book accommodation with access to restaurants and cafes, while Stay+Play breaks are now Haven breaks, which includes extras such as activities and entertainment.

Brits who are keen to book a holiday can bag a four-night stay on the Welsh coastline in May for six people for £109 – which works out as just £4.50pp per night.

A family of four can spend four nights in Scotland in July for £319 – which is £20pp per night.

Gerard Tempest, chief marketing officer, said: "Our research and feedback has shown that guests love the ability to choose the holiday that best suits their needs, but they were confused over the names Stay and Stay+Play, believing the +Play element provided unlimited access to entertainment, pools, activities and restaurants.

"From today Stay+Play holidays will be called Haven and Stay breaks will be renamed ‘Haven Hideaway’.

"A Haven holiday will provide guests with access to swimming, activities entertainments and restaurants and bars, a Haven Hideaway will provide accommodation with access to restaurants and food outlets."

Any guests who have already booked a Haven break in 2022 will see their holiday automatically moved to a Haven Holiday or Haven Hideaway break.
