Holidays are GO! Cheap package deals to book now to Spain, Greece & Portugal from just £104 including hotels and flights

MORE holidays can now go ahead as the UK government has scrapped the traffic light rules, meaning no more amber lists.

There is now just a red list of countries – meaning the rest of them are open for travel.

Turkey, Egypt and the Maldives have all been added to the open travel list, dubbed the Rest of the World list.

With no amber list, this opens up all of Europe to Brits, meaning you don't have to quarantine on you return.

There are still some ridiculously cheap deals for holidays in the next few months, if you are quick, as they are likely to soar due to demand.

The British Airways September sale, which is on until the end of the month, has trips including seven nights and flights in the Algarve and in Malta for £199pp, or a week in Jamaica with return flights for just £599pp.

TUI is offering up to £100 off their holidays in October and November, as long as you spend over £800.

This includes holidays such as seven nights, half-board in Kos, an all-inclusive week in Majorca or seven nights, bed-and-breakfast in Cyprus, all for less than £400 each after the discount.

Fancy a Jet2 break? They have last-minute sun deals from £229pp, including flights and hotels, while easyJet's October holidays to Greece and Portugal start from £161pp.

However, the biggest bargains are with Thomas Cook, with September holiday deals starting from £104 each.

Including destinations Greece and Spain, many of the holidays return after October 4, when the new rules are in place.

Brits should also check the entry requirements for each country – most holiday hotspots are welcoming double-jabbed Brits, although destinations such as the US, Bulgaria and Australia are yet to open to UK tourists.

Not only that, but Brits who have had both jabs won't need to take a test before returning to the UK – and only need a cheap lateral flow test on day two.

Unvaccinated Brits, however, will face a lot more restrictions – having to quarantine for 10 days back in the UK, as well as pay for three Covid tests.

The new testing rules are yet to be introduced, but hope to be by the October half-term.
