A five-minute walk from Harrogate train station in North Yorkshire, the Hotel Du Vin is slap bang in the centre and close to all the action.
What is Hotel Du Vin, Harrogate, like?
It's relaxing and cosy but modern. Cool wood floors and leather Chesterfield sofas are dotted around the high-ceilinged reception.
The food and the wine was top-notch and the staff were friendly and accommodating.
Great shops, bars and restaurants are all within walking distance too.

What is there to do at Hotel Du Vin, Harrogate?
You can't go to Harrogate without visiting the famous Bettys Cafe Tea Rooms – even if it does mean queuing around the corner with the rest of the tourists for a fancy cake and a £3.50 cup of tea.
But the best bit was a visit to the historic Turkish baths.
The idea is you relax and detox in steam rooms of varying temperatures – and 135 minutes for £19 is a bargain.
Great for a hen do – but book up in advance or you could get a mixed session.
What is there to eat and drink at Hotel Du Vin, Harrogate?
The Bistro is amazing. I had the moules mariniere at £14.95, which was reasonable for a huge portion.
I prefer a cheese plate to a sweet and these can sometimes disappoint. Not here.
A generous selection of four British cheeses, lovely biscuits and tasty chutney was £8.95.
Next morning, the mix of granola bars, yoghurt, fruit, kippers, and full English meant there was something for everyone.
What are the rooms like at Hotel Du Vin, Harrogate?
Stunning. There are 48 suites and rooms.
Ours was a grand affair with massive ceilings, huge draping curtains and a grey chaise longue in front of the large window – perfect for people watching.
The bathroom was a beautiful combination of Victoria sink and toilet with a modern monsoon walk-in shower and the huge bed had Egyptian cotton sheets.
