BUDGET weekend breaks never work out that cheap – after flights and hotel you're usually looking at upwards of £150.
But a travel influencer has managed to bag a three night stay in a European capital city for £42pp, including air fares.
Chelsea, who goes by the name Cheap Holiday Expert on Instagram, managed to get the trip to Vilnius in Lithuania for under £50.
She got flights for £5 one-way, which is pretty much as cheap as you can get.
But the surprising cost saving was the hotel stay, which she managed to get for £32pp.
The cost for accommodation came to £16pp a night for two nights, but thanks to a current promotion with the Lithuanian Tourist Board they got the third night free.
Chelsea said in an Instagram post: "The flights were just £10 and there are tons of these still available.
“In terms of lodging, the Lithuanian tourist board is now offering a deal in which if you stay for three nights or more, you will receive a free third night up to the worth of €65 (£56).”
The buy two nights get one free offer lasts until November 22, and you have to register for the freebie at stayin.lithuania.travel.
The website will then tell you which hotels are partnering with the scheme, ranging from aparthotels to four-star luxury.
Vilnius is considered to be one of the best bargain city break destinations, when it comes to paying for holiday essentials like food and drink, transport and sightseeing.
There's plenty to fit into a weekend break, including a hot air balloon tour of the city with views of the baroque Old Town, costing £88 for an hour with Ballooning.lt.
Alternatively, across the Vilnia River is the tiny “republic” Užupis, which has its own legal constitution dedicated to boozing and having fun.
After getting your passport stamped, lounge in the ramshackle pubs next to the water’s edge and soak up live music and quirky art installations.
Or fill up on a host of local delicacies including a variety of smoked meats and handcrafted cheeses at the famous Hales Market.
