A WOMAN ended up flying to Seattle after she got on the wrong plane and didn't realise until three hours into her journey.
Marijose Gamboa was supposed to be flying to Tuxtla Gutierrez in Mexico from Guadalajara, but ended up in North West America after a mix up.
The traveller revealed how she had ended up in the wrong country in a series of videos on Tiktok, during which she claimed that airport staff had checked her boarding pass on more than one occasion.
Marijose (@marijosegam) was queueing up at the airport for what she thought was the correct flight, until gate staff told her to line up somewhere else.
It was only when she was asked to provide her passport information that she realised what had happened.
In her video she said: "I was waiting to board at the gate for the flight to Tuxtla, but when I was about to get on the plane they, checked my ticket and sent me to a different queue."

When Marijose got on the plane, there was someone sitting in the seat number on her boarding pass, leading to a flight attendant to check her pass.
Instead of realising she was on the wrong plane, they just moved her to a different seat.
She continued: "When I boarded the plane, my seat was occupied and they asked me for my boarding pass and told me there was no problem, we'll give you this seat instead.
"A flight attendant checked my boarding pass again to see my seat to confirm that it was correct and still, he didn't tell me."

Three hours into the journey, flight attendants asked Marijose and other passengers on the plane to fill out a boarding card.
However, she didn't understand what was being asked of her and had to ask the cabin crew for assistance with the document because it was in English.
It was only when someone sitting behind her on the plane explained what the form was and why she needed her passport information that she realised her mistake.
She said: "They passed me this customs declaration form and said I had to fill it out, there were about two hours left to arrive and at that moment I found out where we were going.
"I asked the flight attendant what to do because it was in English. They said I needed my passport information and asked how I was flying without my passport.
"The passenger behind me told me the truth. They helped me a lot and told me we were going there. Obviously, I was very worried because my family was waiting for me in Tuxtla."
The flight crew were able to make contact with her family in Mexico and informed them of what had happened, putting Marijose's mind at ease.
The airline, Volaris, also paid for her flight back to Mexico, who eventually got back to her family in Tuxtla Gutierrez.
However, the topic of who was to blame is still up for debate, with Marijose saying Volaris agents in Tuxtla Gutierrez blamed her for getting on the wrong flight.
However, she still believes that those who checked her ticket on more than one occasion had the chance to tell her that she wasn't on the right plane.
Sun Online Travel has contacted Volaris for comment.
