I live in Disney World's exclusive VIP village – here is what it is really like | The Sun

A MUM has revealed what it is like to live in Disney's VIP-exclusive village.

Disney's Golden Oak is a 980-acre housing estate just a few miles from the Disney World theme park.

Inside are luxury properties that were designed by the Disney Imagineering team, many of which look like fairytale cottages and houses.

Mum Cristie Ann Cabrera, from Miami, said her parents bought a four-bedroom house in Golden Oak in 2020.

She said she stays at least twice a month with her husband and five-year-old daughter, while her brother also often visits.

And Cristie has revealed what it is like to live there, posting videos on her TikTok account to her 34.3k followers.

She told CNBC: "There are about 300 homes that range from 1,800 square feet to 12,000 square feet.

"One house sold for $12 million this year, and another is currently listed at $9.5 million."

Christi's family house is one of The cottages in the Symphony Grove neighbourhood, which was designed to look like Belle's cottage in Beauty and the Beast.

On the ground floor is a kitchen and dining area, designed to look like a French cottage with wooden beams and rustic interiors.

The first floor has Disney-themed bedrooms, with the main bedroom having Beauty and the Beast quotes on the wall.

There is also a Winnie the Pooh room with hand-painted characters on the wall, along with a Bambi-themed room with bunk beds.

A spiral staircase to the third floor takes you to the playroom, which is called Belles Reading Room with a built-in bookcase.

The home even has a guest suite, with inspiration from Alice and Wonderland, as well as an outdoor area with a swimming pool, hot tub and outdoor kitchen.

Inside the house are 50 hidden Mickeys too, which she says the kids love trying to find.

People on TikTok were in awe, with many saying they were "obsessed".

One person wrote: "How does it feel to live my dream."

While Disney Golden Oak was designed to house holiday homes, apparently a third of the population actually live there permanently.

Everyone who owns a house has access to swimming pools, gym and restaurants in the community.

But even better, they get a membership to the Golden Oak Club which has private VIP park tours and event tickets.

Each Disney Golden Oak home also gets five three-year annual passes, and each pass comes with five additional one-day theme park tickets.

They also benefit from the extra hours of open time at theme parks available to Disney World resort hotel residents, free access to Walt Disney golf courses and free delivery from all Disney stores in the park.

Disney has also announced plans to build a whole residential town which will have homes, a hotel and even a huge lagoon.

Cotino will be a 618-acre development near Palm Springs in California, as part of Disney's new Storyliving communities, which will be “infused with the company’s special brand of magic".
