I tried Ryanair's most expensive plane seat – but people say I could've got it free

A TRAVELLER forked out for the most expensive seat on a Ryanair flight to see if it was worth it – but people claim to get it for free.

Tiktok user Seamus Lyons treated himself to seat 1A on a Ryanair flight from Kaunas in Lithuania to Dublin.

The budget airline assigns random seating to passengers, but offers the option to pay extra to book a specific seat.

On Seamus's flight, a standard ticket cost €20 and the seat selection cost €28, making a total of €48 for his flight.

However, some people said that they don't bother paying for seat selection and still manage to get the best seat on the plane.

Seamus said: "I bought the most expensive seat on my Ryanair flight – was it worth it?

"I don't know what's crazier, the fact that the flight is only €20 or that the seat cost more than the flight itself."

In the video, he boarded the flight and was sat in the front row next to the door, which gave him plenty of legroom and easy access to the toilets.

He was also on a row on his own and commented that 'nobody else could afford these awesome seats'.

At the end of his journey, he concluded: "The flight was €20 and the seat was €28 so I think it was worth it."
