A TRAVEL expert has revealed how he always saves money when booking flights online.
With airfares already on the rise and set to go up further still, people are on the lookout for ways in which they can get cheaper flights.
One Tiktok user Yan, or kingcredit, has shown the simple methods he uses to cut costs when booking flights online.
He shared his methods in a video to help other people learn from his example.
Firstly he shows when he books flights, with different times and days generally more expensive than others.
Yan claims that flights between Tuesday at 12am until Wednesday at 11pm are often cheaper.

He also says that it's best to avoid flying from Thursday 12am until Saturday 12pm, when prices tend to go up.
Yan's second tip is to use incognito mode when booking flights, to keep prices down.
He says that airlines "auto-increase" their prices if they see you repeatedly searching for tickets to the same destination.
Therefore, by using incognito mode, the airline's websites will not be able to store any of your information and react to your search.

The third of Yan's tips is to use a website called Skiplagged, which claims to expose loopholes in airfare pricing to get people cheap deals.
Skiplagged's algorithms find cheaper routes to destinations, by booking them as layovers en route to other places, which can often work out cheaper than just paying for the direct flight.
Yan's final tip is to book flights using a VPN to book as if you're in another country.
A VPN allows you to change your IP address to another location, making it harder for the airlines to monitor your searches.
In the same way as using incognito mode, it will prevent websites from tracking your data and increasing prices.
The tips were well received by other Tiktok users, who thanked Yan for sharing them.
One wrote: "Finally someone who actually tells us valuable and useable information!"
Another said: "Thank you for dropping these gems."
