AN airline work has revealed the £11.99 item she always takes on a plane with her – and people have said it's a game-changer.

Megan Homme often shares her travel tips including the best time to book cheap flights and how to travel with just hand luggage.

In one of her latest videos, she also explained why she always takes a bum bag with her on holiday.

She told her followers on TikTok: "Why you should be travelling with a belt bag.

"This makes going through security so much easier. You need your ID, your boarding pass – it's right on hand.

"Then you just put everything back in, quickly take it off and put it on the conveyer.

She said she used the Belcourt Waist Bag from ebags which is on sale for $27.99.

However, Amazon has lots of similar belt bags for as little as £5.99.

Seasoned traveller Rick Steves, who has been travelling for more than 40 years, recently said he too swears by taking a belt bag on every holiday.

Megan also revealed the things she always packs into her belt bag.

Along with her passport and money, she said: "Headphones, a phone charger, sanitizer, a lip balm, medication, body wipes to freshen up on a really long flight, a pen to fill out entry forms".

More than 60,000 people have watched the video, and people loved the idea.

One person said: "I took a few trips with my belt bag and it’s a GAME CHANGER!"

Another agreed: "Literally the best travel product."

Megan also recently revealed the best kind of suitcase to use if you need to check it in at the airport.

The first thing is to avoid any soft suitcases as you "never know what is going to be in someone else's bag, or what is going to be underneath the plane and what could leak on your bag".

Even the colour matters as well, Megan explained: "Get a dark colour. If your bag is going under the plane it is going to be scuffed up very quickly. I learned that the hard way."
