AN EX-FLIGHT attendant has revealed five things she would never do on a plane – and that passengers shouldn't either.
Kat Kamalani has years of experience as a flight attendant and knows a thing or two about how people should behave during flights.
She has put together her list of things to avoid doing in order to ensure that she has a peaceful trip, which she then shared in a video on TikTok.
Board a plane without snacks
As Kat explains: "You never know what's going to happen".
There could be delays, problems with the in-flight food service, or just anything that might leave you hungry.
Packing snacks means you're always prepared just in case one of any number of issues arises.

Drink hot water on a plane
This is something other flight attendants have advised against before and it's to do with how frequently the hot water tank on board the plane is cleaned.
In a separate video also shared via Tiktok, Kat said: "Never consume any liquid that’s not in a can or a (sealed) bottle.
“The reason being is because those water tanks are never cleaned. They are disgusting.
"The kettles are cleaned in between flights but the coffee machines are never cleaned… and they’re by the lavatories."

Ignore the flight attendants
The people who know best and are there to look out for the passengers' best interests are the cabin crew.
Therefore it stands to reason that they shouldn't be ignored.
Kat explains: "I would always obey the flight attendants and what they say."
Not seeking alternative flights or hotels
This summer has proven that travel problems can arise anywhere, so it is best to be prepared.
Kat explains that she never goes away without first seeking alternative options in case of any unforeseen issues.
She said: "I look up alternative airports around me, alternative flights and hotels, just in case anything happens."
Revealing too much personal information
When sitting next to a stranger on a plane, it's natural that you might end up having a conversation with them, particularly if it's a longer journey.
However, there are people who use that information for fraudulent reasons.
Kat's advice is: "Never divulge too much personal information to someone who's sitting next to you and asking about your life."
Kat's advice was gratefully received, particularly tip number five.
One person said they took being next to a stranger on a flight as an excuse to be creative.
They wrote: "I usually make up a new life and share false random but entertaining stories about my life."
It was too late for another commenter however.
They said: "You’re so right about #5. About 7 years ago or so I got scammed on a plane by some lady giving a sob story. Lesson learned!"
