AN ORGANISATION expert has revealed how to stop clothes from becoming creased when packed inside a suitcase.

Anita Burges who runs decluttering service Mise en Place is a professional organiser and property stylist who helps families to declutter their homes by posting tips and tricks online.


In addition to providing organisational titbits, the mum-of-four has also shared packing hacks online.

On The Today Show, an Australian TV programme, Anita showed viewers how a plastic sleeve can prevent evening dresses and important garments from creasing.

In a video posted on Instagram, the TV anchor asked: "What about packing evening wear Anita, because it's so hard to keep it crease-free."

Straight away, Anita replied: "There's a really easy way to do it, OK.

"You know these plastic sleeves that you normally get from the laundromats [launderettes], you can actually go and ask for them for one, but keep it with you.

"What you're going to do is keep your garment inside and just start folding gently all the way up.

"Now what happens is you're actually creating bubble wrap, now kept air in here which keeps the creases away."

The video ended with Anita placing the rolled plastic sleeve onto the top of her packing cubes inside the suitcase.

One packing expert tried to settle the debate once and for all by debating the best packing method.

Meanwhile another woman has used hanging fabric shelves to pack her clothes into her suitcase.
