BRITS wanting to book the cheapest flights will soon be able to do it from their phone much easier.
Uber has announced that their users will soon be able to book train and coach tickets via the app this summer – as well as flights and cross-channel train tickets.
The new scheme will join with partners, yet to be announced, to offer the services via Uber, as opposed to launching trains and airlines themselves.
Hotels will even eventually be added to the Uber app to be booked alongside transport.
For example, when booking a weekend break, users will be able to purchase a train or coach ticket when booking a UK staycation, and ensure an Uber is waiting to take them to the hotel.
Uber will also be rolling out car rentals, which will be able to be used across the UK.

Jamie Heywood, Regional General Manager, UK, Northern & Eastern Europe, Uber, said: “Everyone values the freedom to make travel arrangements in a simple and convenient way, which is why we’re excited to become a one-stop shop for all your travel needs.
"You have been able to book rides, bikes, boat services and scooters on the Uber app for a number of years, so adding trains and coaches is a natural progression.
"Later this year we plan to incorporate flights, and in the future hotels, by integrating leading partners into the Uber app to create a seamless door-to-door travel experience.”
Uber already offers taxi services, as well as Uber Boat and e-bikes, and food delivery via Uber Eats.
