Inside Center Parcs award winning spa with hot tubs, outdoor pool and stunning scenery | The Sun

IT'S Ireland's largest standalone spa buried deep in the heart of the forest.

From the luxurious leafy surrounds all you can hear are the chirping of birds, the babbling of water and padding of bare feet as relaxed patrons swan around.

It's a far cry from the centre of the hectic, family friendly resort of Center Parcs in Longford where the main noises abound are the shrieks and cries of kids careening around on bikes and scooters, whizzing overhead on ziplines or splashing in the pool – all having a ball …….or a meltdown.

All well and good, but you do need a break now from the cacophony of your family – and others' – now and again, don't you?

Enter the Aqua Sana Spa at Center Parcs Longford Forest.

Here guests can enjoy 21 different spa experiences across 4 spa zones, inspired by the natural world and bringing together the healing powers of heat, water and nature.

It's a kid-free zone where guests can discover spa and beauty treatments from hot tubs to saunas to full body massages or pick-me-up manicures.

And afterwards on a blissful high, guests can prolong the experience by visiting the bright and contemporary Vitalé Café Bar for a relaxing coffee, delicious dishes or an indulgent sweet treat.

OUTDOOR POOL AND HOT TUB

There are so many thing to experience and one of the best is the indoor outdoor pool.

Take a relaxing float among the gentle bubbles in the heated courtyard pool. The day of my visit the sun was splitting the stones but it would be spectacular to relax in the warm water in winter or taking a magical swim beneath the stars once dark. It’s a tranquil and refreshing experience whatever the weather.

After a refreshing dip or a few laps sink into one of the warm outdoor hot tubs and take in the beautiful forest views. Afterwards feel the purifying effects of the Salt Steam Room, and cool off in the refreshing, multi-sensory Waterfall Shower.

FOREST AWAKENING

And of course make the most of the stunning, atmospheric forest surroundings by taking a peaceful walk through the trees.

An ideal way to enjoy the great outdoors and relax your mind during your spa experience.

TREATMENTS

Here I got to experience the Elemis Pro-Glow Smooth Facial.

A mixture of high tech wizardry and good old fashioned massage the facial lifts away dead skin cells to smooth, renew and refine, whilst improving the appearance of skin tone and luminosity.

Skin is prepped for an infusion of hydration that will double its moisture content, leaving it feeling plump and hydrated, whilst delivering an immediate and visibly tightened effect.

After just one treatment, the complexion looks firmer, supremely smooth and rejuvenated.

I left the treatment room looking 10 years younger – almost.
