Inside the new Disney attraction in the UK – and it’s just for adults | The Sun

DISNEY has launched a brand new attraction in the UK – and kids aren't allowed.

The new Wonder of Friendship: The Experience opens to the public today, in celebration of 100 years of Disney.

Inside the new attraction are themed rooms and puzzles, featuring Alice in Wonderland, Lilo & Stitch and the Lion King.

Guests are encouraged to download Snapchat to take advantage of extra secrets in the rooms.

The Alice in Wonderland Garden of Mystery Room has huge flowers, a "magical mist" room where you walk through.

Lilo & Stitch's Ohana Bay room lets you test your balance by riding on a surfboard simulator while surrounded by the characters.

And in the Lion King’s Orchestral Oasis’ room, guests can play the drums to play Hakuna Matata in a jungle-themed room, as well as listen to the famous song while on a swing.

The attraction is also full of neon lights and bright photo spots to be able to take selfies everywhere throughout.

Other fun touches include a Disney keycard that lets you interact with the rooms, and asks you what kind of friends you are as a group.

At the end you can also stock up on Disney merch, and even create your own t-shirt using a VR headset.

Don't expect to see any young guests running around though.

Kids under the age of eight are not allowed, and any older than this must be with an adult, although they advise guests be 18 and over to visit.

The new attraction has opened at 180 The Strand but you need to be quick as it is only running until May 21.

It will then launch in Berlin in June and then Paris in July.

Sarah Fox, VP Marketing & Comms, Disney Consumer Products, EMEA, said: “Throughout our one hundred years, Disney stories have shown the importance of friendship and appreciating the differences in others, so we couldn’t think of a better theme to celebrate our milestone anniversary.

"From Alice in Wonderland’s flower walkway to Lilo and Stitch’s photo frame opportunity, there'll be plenty of social media moments to share with your best friends and relive for years to come.”

That's not the only celebration this year.

Disney World is still celebrating it's 50th anniversary – here is everything you can expect.

And Disneyland Paris has just turned 30 – and Sun Online Travel visited the park.
