Inside the new space-themed hotel – with a HUGE galactic water park and star-lit ceilings

YOU can soon stay in an amazing space-themed hotel without having to leave the planet.

Grande Center Point Space Pattaya will open in Bangkok this year – and it even has a massive 11,500sq m water park.

Thailand’s first-ever space-themed hotel will have 490 bedrooms, each fitted with special lights in the ceiling that mimic twinkling stars as well as colourful headboard lighting designed to look like the Northern Lights.

Guests will be able to pick from a basic Space Deluxe room, which comes with a king or double bed, a Bluetooth speaker and bathtub, to a Space Suite Connex with two bedrooms, sea-view balconies and an en-suite jacuzzi.

Futuristic furniture and curved walls will resemble a spaceship, while every room will feature a galactic rug.

The hotel will also be home to a huge Space Water Park that is split into four zones.

There’s a mountain zone which features a waterfall cave, a jungle jacuzzi and a 330-metre long lazy river as well as a flying rock zone where kids can whizz along two water chutes.

There is a even an 8-metre slide tower, or you can jump about in an outdoor playground with a sandpit and trampoline.

Other zones include the space pirate beach with artificial sand and waves and the planet zone which includes a children's pool and an amphitheatre.

The fun doesn’t end there either – there is mini space mini golf course, inspired by our own Solar system, as well as a giant tree in the centre of the water park where special night-time light shows will take place.

The food will be equally "out of this world" with the Orbit restaurant, a rooftop joint named Sola | Luna and the Oort cloud tea room that offers a “contemporary twist on afternoon tea”.

Unlike tickets onboard Virgin Galactic, which initially cost £175,000 a pop, a room here will set you back 5,000 THB (roughly £116) per night.

The hotel isn't the first to launch a space-themed experience.
