Tens of thousands of Brits have booked holidays for this month, as self-catered properties are able to welcome guests again.

It's set to be a busy season for the British holiday home business, as a result of many holidaymakers ditching foreign trips for staycations.

UK holiday demand has seen some home rental almost sell-out through spring and summer, although some families are opting for trips at short-notice, in case travel restrictions change again.

There are still some deals to be had if you know where to look – we've rounded up a range of UK trips for the next seven days, including a four-night break from £69.

Some of the best deals are:

  • Haven holiday park stay Monday April 19 4-nights in Essex, Kent and more from £69 per stay
  • Park Holidays Friday April 16 or Monday April 19 3-nights in Kent, Suffolk, Essex and more from £104 per stay
  • Snaptrip apartments, lodges and cottages Friday April 16 3-nights in England from £199 per stay

  • Holiday Cottages Monday April 19 4-nights in England from £299 per stay
  • Park Leisure Holidays Friday April 16 3-nights in Wales and more from £219 per stay

Destinations in the south-west of England, especially coastal towns, have seen particularly high demand, such as Cornwall, Devon and Kent.

One holiday company recently reported that just three per cent of Devon properties are now available this weekend, as it is the first weekend for self-catered holidays this year.

Camping sites in the UK have also seen a huge rise in bookings – up as much as 176 per cent in comparison to last year.

Families have been urged by travel companies to book now for the summer.

Brits are even being warned that they could have their holidays stolen from them by other families offering to pay more money due to demand.

Rowena Owen, who runs a holiday letting firm in Kent, said she had been contacted by people offering to pay double to take the bookings from someone else.
