BRITS hoping to go abroad this summer have been given fresh hope for a holiday following plans to allow fully-vaccinated Brits to travel.
While this is yet to be confirmed – and may not be allowed until later next month, families can start planning where to go on holiday.
Currently, there are just 11 countries on the UK's green list which allowed quarantine-free travel when returning to the country.
Many of these remain closed to Brits as well, with just Gibraltar and Iceland open to Brits, with Israel to follow suit.
Instead, most of the popular holiday hotspots – such as Spain, Greece and Portugal – are on the amber list which require a mandatory 10-day quarantine.
Some holiday destinations are even on the red travel ban list, such as Turkey and the UAE which includes Dubai.
However, many countries are now lifting their entry restrictions and local Covid rules.
Here is everything you need to know about some of the popular holiday hotspots and the rules currently in place.
Spain
Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez confirmed that mandatory face masks outdoors will no longer be required from June 26.
However, local Covid rules are different per region, with some destinations curfews, although most shops and cafes are now open.
Social distancing and mask wearing must still be followed in public spaces including at beaches.
To enter Spain, there are no restrictions for Brits.
Portugal
Restaurants and cafes can now stay open until midnight although bars and clubs are yet to reopen.
Social distancing and mask wearing must still be followed in public spaces including at beaches.
Portugal has introduced new restrictions due to rising Covid cases, with travel in and out of Lisbon banned.
To enter Portugal, Brits only need a PCR or antigen test.
Greece
Social distancing and mask wearing must still be followed in public spaces including at beaches.
A night time curfew is in place from 12:30am to 5am across Greece, with some restrictions on dining capacity.
To enter Greece, Brits must show a negative PCR test or proof of being fully vaccinated.
France
France has removed mandatory face masks when outdoors, as well as lifted the night-time curfew.
However, social distancing must still be followed in public spaces.
Disneyland Paris also reopened this week.
To enter France, Brits must be fully vaccinated and have a PCR or antigen test.
Dubai

The UAE remains on the UK's red list, meaning travel is not allowed to the country.
Brits heading to Italy will have to quarantine for five days on arrival from tomorrow, as well as have a Covid test on arrival.
It follows the ban on UK arrivals in Germany and Austria due to fears of the Delta variant.
Most countries are on the UK's amber list, with government sources warning it is unlikely any destinations will be added to the green list later this month.
