Man pays just £16.95 for holiday to Spain with return flights – here is how he did it | The Sun

A MAN has paid just £16.95 for a holiday for two in Barcelona, and it includes return flights.

Geoff Storey, from Skipton in North Yorkshire, offered the tiny amount for the Jet2 holiday.

The low offer is part of Jet2's Bid for a Break scheme, where Brits can bid as little as they like for a number of holidays.

If you offer the lowest unique amount that no one else does, then you are given the holiday for that amount.

Geoff's Barcelona stay includes three nights at the H10 Marina Barcelona for two, as well as return flights from the UK.

Airport transfers, 22kg baggage and 10kg hand luggage is also included.

Geoff said he chose the number at random, as he had always wanted to visit the Spanish city.

Geoff said: “I entered Bid for a Break, as I’ve always wanted to visit Barcelona, and my wife persuaded me to just give it a go!

"I came up with my bid by guessing an amount without any knowledge or idea of what had been chosen before, I just picked a number at random and put it in!"

To get involved, you need to place a bid via the Jet2 app.

There is a range of popular holiday hotspots to choose from in, such as the Spanish Islands, Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Turkey.

Even if you don't win, you will still get a £60 off code for applying.

Jet2 boss Steve Heapy added: “Congratulations to Geoff for successfully bidding for a holiday with Jet2holidays through our ‘Bid for a Break’ campaign.

"We know how much UK holidaymakers want to get away to enjoy some much-needed sunshine, and we are giving them the chance to do just that in a fun way for potentially only a few pence."

One of the biggest winners was Lynn Marriot who landed a seven-night holiday to Crete including return flights with Jet2 for 2p last year.
