A TRAVELLER has sparked debate online after complaining about a hotel guest taking too much food at the buffet.
The man was staying in a hotel with his kids when the incident took place at the accommodation's breakfast buffet one morning.
He said he was left fuming after the guest ordered a waffle at a serving station – which took a while to make – and then instantly asked for a second one despite there being a queue.
He asked in a post on Reddit if he was wrong to get annoyed by it.
They wrote: "I was staying at a hotel in Chicago last month with my children and the place offered free breakfast for guests.
"They had one waffle maker that made one waffle at a time. It was in a smallish room on the 6th floor with about 20 or more people in there.

"I was hungry but waited patiently in line, as each waffle cycle takes three minutes.
"There was a youngish adult woman ahead of me and just as she finished removing her waffle and I started stepping forward, she poured the batter for a second waffle, I'm guessing for a friend back at the room.
"Three more minutes of standing there as the tables started filling up.
"I said loudly something like, 'A second waffle? I didn't realize we were doing that! Another one?'"

He said while she didn't respond, he "let out a sigh" and gave up, eating the rest of his breakfast.
He finished by saying: "Am I the a****** for saying something and not just waiting or should she have made one waffle and got back in line for the second one?
"What if she decided to make waffles for two more friends? That's six more minutes for everyone standing there.
Some people agreed with him – one person wrote: "Good manners in that situation would have been to make one waffle and then come back for another if needed, starting at the back of the line again.
"That way everybody gets their first waffle as quickly as possible."
Another agreed, saying: "It’s inconsiderate to hold up a line. She could have just gotten back in line after she finished preparing her waffle."
However, the majority of people hit back at the man, telling him was in the wrong.
One said: "I get you were frustrated but this is passive-aggressive, petty, dramatic behaviour that wasn't going to help the situation in any way."
Another wrote: "The person in front of you had more restraint and patience than me.
"Personally, I would have told you where you can stuff your waffle. You need to get a grip."
