Moment girl screams out in tears as dream holiday to Tenerife is delayed AGAIN – after waiting two days to take off

THIS is the moment a young girl bursts into tears after her half-term holiday was cancelled for a second time.

Hundreds of passengers at Manchester Airport had been waiting two full days to jet off to Tenerife – only to have their trip called off AGAIN.

Kelly Clarke was among those waiting to board the plane with her nine-year-old son Toby.

The pair were due to fly out on a £1,400 TUI package holiday on Monday, but, after a three-hour delay and a further three hours on the tarmac, they were told the plane was staying put.

The 42-year-old returned to the airport the following afternoon for the rescheduled flight at 5.50pm, only to find out it had been delayed to 10.30pm.

Then, after checking in, going through security and waiting at the gate, TUI announced the flight was cancelled for a second time.

Kelly, from Stretford, Manchester, caught the devastating moment on camera, with scores of angry families demanding an explanation.

In the clip, people can be seen gathered around the gate, many with their arms folded and already looking fed up.

A woman then shouts: "There's an announcement happening.

"Why have we been left for two days, abandoned?"

Seconds later, a staff member says over the tannoy: "Flight TOM2106 to Tenerife. This flight has unfortunately been cancelled."

Passengers then erupt with anger before a schoolgirl wearing a travel neck pillow screams with tears in her eyes.

Other children can be heard sobbing, while their parents yell "f*** off" and "oh my God".

Kelly, a self-employed wedding photographer who had been looking forward to her Costa Adeje getaway for months, described the scenes as "absolutely unbelievable".

She said: "The kids in that video were absolutely sobbing their hearts out.

"It was awful seeing them so upset. No sleep and sitting around an airport for two full days.

"Zero staff, zero explanations. TUI and Manchester Airport, sort it out now."

Kids were absolutely sobbing their hearts out.

The passengers were told their flight had been rescheduled for a third time to Wednesday morning, but Kelly said most people had had enough by that point and opted for a refund.

"There was no way I was going back again for round three and loads of others said they didn’t want to either," she said.

However, Kelly is still waiting to hear from TUI about getting her money back.

"I'm trying everything I can, but it doesn't appear to be happening," she said.

"I’ve been into a store, spent three hours on hold, and had no email responses at all.

"And to make it even worse, they’ve just cancelled my next holiday with them too.
