A BRITISH family were left disgusted when they found their hotel room riddled with blood-sucking bedbugs in Majorca.
Gary Turner, 57, had to be dashed to hospital after suffering an allergic reaction as he and his wife Jutta, 57, spent eight nights in the creep-crawly infested room.
The couple checked into the Hotel Illa d'Or with their two daughters at the end of March for two weeks of Spanish sunshine, having booked through the travel agency TUI.
Gary and Jutta noticed bites on their bodies after a few days – but dismissed them as the work of mosquitos.
But at 3am one night, the pair switched on the light and were horrified to see dozens of bugs swarming their bed.
Staff frantically moved them to another room and sprayed the infested one – but Gary's head was inflamed and Jutta's arm turned bright red.

The couple bought medication from a pharmacy, which they say made them drowsy.
Jutta told Olive Press: "It all left us feeling tired, run down and exhausted.
"We could not enjoy our holiday at all."
Gary even had to be taken to hospital in an ambulance, where he was given a "painful" injection.

He told the outlet: "We never expected to suffer like we did, this is not what we paid for."
But the reaction to their ordeal from TUI and the hotel left the family seeing red.
Gary and Jutta demanded a free two-week holiday later in the year, but were instead offered 10 per cent off their room or 20 per cent off their next holiday.
Hotel bosses, meanwhile, offered a complimentary spa treatment or boat ride – calling their request for a free holiday "unreasonable".
The family rejected both offers.
A spokesman for TUI said: "We recognise that some services fell short of our usually high standards.
"We'd like to reassure all customers that we regularly audit all of our hotels in respect to health and safety, including hygiene.
"Whilst the family were offered compensation during their stay, they unfortunately declined."

Gary blasted TUI and the hotel for their compensation offers.
He said: "The whole experience has left us completely exhausted and stressed.
"We were also worn out by the annoyance and upset caused by the indifference and lack of compensation so far offered by the hotel and TUI."
Hotel bosses said they would not" succumb to pressure from any guest seeking to receive free accommodations."
They told Olive Press: "We want to emphasise that our hotel takes pest control very seriously and we have a company contracted to provide preventative and control services.
