Passengers go mad for 'perfect' item which guarantees sleep on a plane

PASSENGERS who want to sleep during a flight have raved about the game-changing item which means they can always nod off.

Traveller Karen Chen explained that how she always packs it on a flight to get some shut-eye.

The hoodie, created by Pond Los Angeles, is a cosy jumper – with a built-in eye mask.

It also has a large hood that can fit over headphones, and a secret inbuilt pocket for your phone.

Karen said on Travel + Leisure: "To the extent that a sweatshirt can help you catch some notoriously difficult shuteye on a flight, Pond L.A. has done it.

"The hoodie has a built-in eye mask to pull over your eyes whenever you're ready to doze off into dreamland."

She also said: "The roomy hood even fits over a pair of large over-ear noise-cancelling headphones (another in-flight essential, I might add) so you can drown out the shrieking baby a couple rows back and sleep in peace."

Other travellers sang the jumper's praises too.

One person wrote:  "I was able to use it recently for the first time on an early morning flight and let me tell you, it is EVERYTHING I was looking for and more.

"It's comfy, cozy, oversized, and the eye covers make you feel like you're in a whole other world and not packed like a sardine on a plane.

"My over ear headphones fit perfectly under it and I got the best sleep I've had on a plane — EVER!"

The jumper currently costs $128 (£94), and it ships internationally.

Another woman recently shared her strange technique to sleeping on planes was a neck brace – with many passengers calling it 'genius'.

And a flight attendant has revealed why you should never sleep on a plane window.
