A PASSENGER has been slammed online for trying to entertain everyone on his flight.
With entertainment systems often only found on long-haul flights, it is up to passengers to keep themselves occupied while in the air on shorter journeys.
However, one man tried to take on the responsibility for everyone during a recent journey, only for it to backfire.
Douglas Lazickirk was one of those sat on the flight, when a man a few rows in front of him set up a projector and tried to turn the plane into a cinema.
His film of choice appeared to be The Patriot, which was beamed up onto the overhead lockers, meaning everyone in the rows behind him could see it clearly.
He also put on the subtitles so those watching could understand what was going on.

Douglas shared a video of the makeshift movie theatre online, which was then shared by the American Transport Security Administration (TSA).
In the video he said: "This guy set up a projector screen mid flight.
"I've seen it all!"
It has been viewed on the TSA Instagram page (@tsa) more than 600,000 times, with some people really not happy with what they'd seen.

A third added: "I hate people like this. 'I'm more important than you so I'm going to break all the unspoken rules to make myself more comfortable while I annoy everyone else around me'."
Others were more annoyed by the passenger's choice of film than their decision to set up the projector.
One said: "Could’ve at least put Shrek on.."
It's not the first time passengers were left underwhelmed by an attempt at mid-air entertainment.
Last year, a choir treated everyone on board their flight to an in-flight performance that no one seemed to appreciate.
Footage emerged online of the Stellenbosch University Choir giving passengers a mid-flight performance of the song Weeping by Bright Blue.
The footage was shared on Reddit, where several people, including a number of flight attendants said they would not be happy to have that happen on board their flights.
One simply said: "This is my nightmare."
Another agreed and suggested desperate measures to end the performance early.
They said: "Just crash the plane to make it stop."
