Passengers reveal the stupidest items that got them stopped at security – and you've most likely had them too | The Sun

PASSENGERS on social media have revealed their silliest items they've had confiscated when travelling through the airport.

Many travellers shared their own experiences following a tweet from the TSA, revealing the huge amount of confiscated liquids at an airport in the US – many of which are food you may not realise.

This is because of liquid rules which require them to all be under 100ml – if not, they they are banned from hand luggage.

One man said they had to throw away their oatmeal he hadn't finished eating as it had "too much liquid" left in it.

Someone else chimed in: "Got pulled aside at the airport security because apparently hummus is a 'liquid'."

Another person had the same problem: "Will never forget the german airport security agent who threw out my hummus, insisting it was a liquid."

"They insisted it was a liquid, I argued that it was weighed in grams and therefore not liquid. B******* took it off me.

Another woman wrote: "I and 4 of my friends are the jar of Nutella in the back.

"We literally ate 3/4 of a jar in front of UK airport security at Gatwick because we didn't know it was a liquid & proceeded to be ill for the whole flight to Dublin."
