The genius travel hack for families staying at Haven holiday parks this summer | The Sun

HAVEN holiday parks have revealed a genius travel hack that will make staying at their resorts much less stressful.

Summer holidays are just around the corner, with plenty of Brits planning to stay in holiday camps like Haven again this year.

While holidays are supposed to be relaxing, finding your way around your resort can add some unwanted stress to your getaway.

However, staff from the holiday camps took to Tiktok (@haven official) to show guests a clever way in which they can quickly find get their bearings.

In a video, they described the trick as "a Haven holiday hack everyone needs to know".

A Haven staff member is seen getting his phone out and accessing Google Maps from inside of his caravan.

He zooms in to where the blue dot is on the map, showing his location.

He then holds down on the blue dot, bringing up a new menu on the screen, where he selects the "label" option.

This allows users to "add labels to places so they can easily find them on maps".

The man labels his accommodation as "my caravan" meaning he can find his way back to his room, should he get lost on the site.

The video has been seen more than 1.6million times, with plenty of people impressed with the idea.

One wrote: "We need to this so we can find our way back lol."

Another said: "I'll remember that for my next holiday."

However, a third added: "Isn’t half the fun walking round looking for it?"

With lots of people staying together in close quarters, holiday parks are places where etiquette is important to making sure your getaway remains a relaxing one.

Liz Wyse, who is an etiquette adviser at the professional coaching company, told Sun Online Travel that one of the main ways to annoy other happy campers is by making too much noise.

She said: "Being respectful of other people and noise goes without saying, and parents should be aware of their children's noise levels more between 7pm to 8pm."

Meanwhile etiquette expert William Hanson explained how holidaymakers can charm cabin crew into getting free upgrades on a plane.

And these experts have shared their tips for making their camping holiday more bearable.
