THRILL-seekers and rollercoaster lovers are in for a treat as a host of new attractions are set to open at theme parks across the UK and Disney in 2022.
We've rounded up all the rides and attractions scheduled to open this year.
Disney
Walt Disney World is still celebrating its 50th anniversary, and organisers have set up a host of events, parades and displays throughout the year.
Across the parks, several new rides and attractions will open to coincide with the celebrations.
Epcot
A new Guardians of the Galaxy attraction will open at Epcot this summer and is the first at Disney World to feature characters from the Marvel Universe.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is one of the world's longest enclosed rollercoasters and rotates 360 degrees.

A smaller scale addition is also coming to Epcot. Moana: Journey of Water is the first attraction based on the Disney hit Moana.
The walk through attraction will feature interactive fountains and is a whimsical exploration of the water cycle and how it sustains the world.
It will open towards the end of this year.
Magic Kingdom
The new TRON Lightcycle Run Roller Coaster is expected to open in Tomorrowland behind Space Mountain in autumn this year.
It is a clone of the TRON Lightcycle Power Run in Shanghai Disneyland and is a semi-enclosed steel motorbike rollercoaster attraction.
Riders sit on individual lightcycles, gripping handlebars.
Universal
Universal Studios in Orlando doesn't look set to open any new rides in 2022, but rather to refurbish some popular attractions including Revenge of the Mummy.
The ride is closed until the end of the summer, and a new storyline is expected to be created when it is reopened.
Work is expected to continue on Universal's Epic Universe – a brand-new theme park bosses have said will be the most immersive and innovative theme park yet.
It is expected to feature an entertainment centre, hotels, shops and restaurants.
It's located roughly 10 minutes from Universal's existing properties and is scheduled to open in 2025.
Alton Towers
CBeebies Land at Alton Towers is getting three new rides and adventures this year.
The attractions are themed around popular TV shows Hey Duggee, Andy's Adventures and JoJo & Gran Gran.
A Hey Duggee adventure land will feature a Clubhouse for kids to visit, where kids can climb, slide and bounce on.
Duggee the dog will also be at the attraction to meet guests, who will be giving out Big Adventure Badges too.
Kids will also be able to visit Jojo & Gran Gran's house, and interact with them along the way.
This includes meeting Great Gran Gran to help her bake banana bread, as well as visit the garden to learn about the wildlife.
And an Andy’s Adventure attraction will have a huge digging site to discover dinosaur bones and footprints.
There will also be a new live show with new interactions of sights and sounds from the prehistoric era.
The park is yet to give an official opening date but confirmed it will be by spring 2022.
Thorpe Park
A new rollercoaster expected to be the tallest in the UK is coming to Thorpe Park.
The 72m high rollercoaster won't be ready to ride this year, but work is expected to begin in late 2022.
The ride would become the tallest ride in the UK, beating Blackpool Pleasure Beach's The Big One which is 65m and has held the record since it was built in 1994.
Chessington World of Adventures
Although no rides are set to open in 2022 at Chessington World of Adventures, work will begin this year on three new attractions which are set to open in 2023.
A new land – expected to be called Amazon Land – will open at the park next year.
One rollercoaster and two children's rides – all of which are yet to be named – are expected to be built.
The rollercoaster is expected to initially launch riders backwards, before catapulting them forwards and then returning to moving backwards.
Paultons Park
Paultons Park is a family-friendly paradise for parents and young kids.
Home to Peppa Pig World, the Hampshire theme park is targeted at children and featuresmore than 70 rides and attractions.
New for 2022 is the Farmyard Flyer – a children's roller coaster opening in the park's Tornado Springs land.
Tornado Springs opened last year and is an Americana-styled land based around a fictional 1950s midwestern town.
Tornado Springs was the fifth land to join Paultons Park since it opened in 1983.
Other lands at the park include Critter Creek, Little Africa, Lost Kingdom and Peppa Pig World, which was voted the best theme park in Britain last year.
