GETTING a good night's sleep in a hotel room can be tricky – especially if the curtains don't close all the way.
But a man has shared a clever tip for ensuring you sleep well when you spend the night away – and all you need is a clothes hanger.
Julien Delva, who describes himself as a very regular traveller, explained that hotel guests should clip the curtains together using a hanger – the kind you hang skirts and trousers from.
Clipping the curtains together ensures no light can get in, and the darkness should help guests sleep better.
He took to question and answer site Quora to share his advice, and referred to a clothes hanger as a "special tool".
He wrote: "You might not be able to control the light coming from the corridor coming under the door, but you can improve how the curtains block the light from the window.

He said: "The hack is to turn on the bathroom light and leave the door cracked just the tiniest bit. The light coming through that crack will give you your bearings.
"If the curtains don't fully block out the light, you don't need to do this, so the real hack is to make sure there is some sliver of light somewhere to help you recall where you are."
A flight attendant explained the clever thing he does with locks on hotel doors, which has saved him from a lot of embarrassment.
John Cheshire revealed that he opens the door and flips the lock open so the latch is sticking out, keeping the door from shutting.
The latch holds the door open so if John steps out for just a moment, the door can't shut behind him and lock him out.
