These are the most Instagrammable picnic spots in the UK

Grab your gingham and best wicker basket, as National Picnic Week is here.

The weather may have taken a little turn but there are still sunny intervals to enjoy.

So if you’ve got your food and picnic accessories at the ready, the only thing left to decide on is location.

The good news is that the UK is brimming with brilliant picnic spots and new research from HelloFresh has uncovered some of the best in the country.

Numerous places in London make it into the top 10 and all of the top four locations are actually found in the South of England. However, areas in Newcastle and Derbyshire also appear in the rankings.

The meal box delivery company analysed social media posts to come up with this data, and they settled on these as the most Instagrammed picnic locations:

1. Brighton Beach

Enjoy sea views and a coastal breeze while you tuck into your sandwiches – just watch out for the seagulls, as they will try to pinch your snacks.

The beach can get quite busy, but if you go closer to the Marina, or Hove, those spots tend to be a bit quieter.

2. Little Venice, London

For those not clued-up, Little Venice refers to the district in West London around the junction of the Paddington Arm of the Grand Union Canal, the Regent’s Canal and the entrance to Paddington Basin.

Simply plonk yourself down at the top of one of the cliffs and enjoy views far out to sea and along the coastline.

Chatsworth is home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire and is a prime picnic location with its 105-acre garden.

The estate even offers a pre-order picnic service, so all your goodies will be ready on arrival.
