1. Bahia Principe Fantasia Tenerife

This resort is a favourite for both adults and kids, thanks to its adults-only infinity pool, spa, splash parks and fantasy castle.

The hotel is spread over 372 rooms, a splash park and seven pools.

There's a kids and teens club, as well as live shows playing at the theatre.

The kids' club has costume days, cooking, crafts, games and activities, while teens can hang out at their own club, with ping pong, babyfoot and pool tables.

The resort is set on the seafront and is less than a mile away from a pebble beach.

2. GF Victoria Hotel, Tenerife

The resort recently opened in 2018, so guests can expect impeccable facilities, all the rooms feature either a terrace or balcony and pool views.

The hotel has three kids' pools and an on-site waterpark with various slides and a surf simulator.

While grown-ups have two adult-only swimming pools to choose from, plus a rooftop infinity glass pool that gives the illusion of floating in the air.

3. Pierre & Vacances Resort, Fuerteventura Origo Mare

The Pierre & Vacances Resort features two outdoor pools, a children's pool and an adult-only pool, and a waterpark with a wave pool, slides and plenty of activities.

The hotel has three children's clubs for kids up to 17 years old, with activities like crafts, small team games, water sports, drama, music and video games.

Families will stay in their own fully-equipped villa with air conditioning, a small kitchen, flat-screen TV and free wifi throughout the resort.

4. Paradise Island, Lanzarote

The Paradise Island hotel is a kids' favourite, thanks to its on-site waterpark with seven slides, a splash zone for little ones, a little go-karting track, soft play, and four pools.

While the kids are off to the kids' club during the day, adults can relax in the wellness area, the gym or the nearby beach.

A kids' club for children up to 12 is available every day until 5pm, and there are plenty of activities during the evening too, including a mini-disco for the kids, games and quizzes for the whole family, and musicals like Grease and Mamma Mia.
