TUI has been forced to cancel more holidays until the end of the month.
Brits with holidays booked to Sri Lanka will be affected by the cancellations.
TUI originally cancelled holidays to the country until May 31 due to the current economic shortage causing a lack of essentials such as fuel and medicine.
However, the holiday cancellations have since been extended, and this date could be bumped forward again if the situation continues to escalate.
The TUI website states: "Due to the ongoing political and economic instability in Sri Lanka, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) have advised against all but essential travel.
"As a result, we’ve unfortunately had to cancel all holidays to Sri Lanka departing up to and including 30 June 2022.
