TUI has cancelled more holidays until the end of October – including to a number of destinations on the green list.
The tour operator has been forced to cancel lots of their flights over the summer due to uncertainty over the travel rules.
However, a number of holidays on the green list, which include destinations in Malta, Croatia and Bulgaria, will not resume until November.
The following holidays are cancelled until October 31:
- Italy – Sardinia, Sicily and Calabria (holidays to Sardinia and Sicily with partner airlines to continue – only TUI flights cancelled)
- Spain – Girona
- Malta (holidays with partner airlines will continue)
- Bulgaria
- Croatia – Kvarner Bay
- Los Cabos – Mexico
- Montenegro
Flight-only and accommodation-only holidays to Egypt, Tunisia, Cape Verde, Cuba, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic and Puerto Valla in Mexico are also cancelled until September 4.
Red list destinations including Turkey, the Maldives and the UAE (which includes Dubai) are cancelled until August 15 although this is likely to be extended.
TUI confirmed that they are not offering holidays to any red list destinations, or any that require a quarantine on arrival.
They added: "If we need to cancel holidays because of updated government guidance, or after reviewing our holiday programme, we will contact customers and aim to give at least seven days advance notice."
Families who have their holidays cancelled can get a full refund, or change to a later date with a booking incentive.
The government is expected to issue a travel update this week, with hopes for 17 more countries to be added to the green list.
