TUI updates holiday advice for Brits heading to Spain this summer | The Sun

TUI has updated their latest travel advice for Brits heading on holiday to Spain this summer.

Tourists have recently been made aware of rules in place at the border, which requires holidaymakers to show proof of funds to enter Spain.

Brits travelling to Spain could be denied entry to the country if they cannot spend £85 each day of their trip.

While the rules aren't new, many were not aware of them as they have been in place since Brexit, only for the pandemic to stop all travel.

TUI has since updated their advice to state: "We’d like to reassure customers that this is not a new requirement and has been in place for some time."

Brits currently need to show proof of the funds, as well as a return or onward ticket and proof of accommodation.

Where is the hottest place in Spain?

TUI added: "We recommend that customers carry their travel documents in person, or on a mobile device, in the unlikely event that you are asked for them at passport control upon arrival into Spain."

And there are new restrictions in place across beaches in Spain right now.

Costa del Sol council chiefs are starting to turn off beach showers at the height of the summer because of the worsening drought affecting southern Spain.

It's not the only rule change being introduced at beaches in Spain.
