EVERYONE has a seat preference when flying, with many choosing between the window and the aisle seat.

And experts have revealed what each seat says about you as a person – but window seat fans won't be pleased.

There are lots of reasons to pick a window seat, such as being easier to sleep during long flights.

And some studies have shown that the window seat is the best choice to reduce your chances of catching a bug.

But according to psychologist Jo Hemmings, passengers who pick window seats tend to be "more selfish" than other passengers.

Dr Becky Spelman, a psychologist at Private Therapy Clinic, backed this up, telling the Telegraph: "Passengers who favour the window seat like to be in control […] and are often more easily irritable."

If you are a fan of the aisle seat, then you are likely to be "more social and more amenable," according to Ms Hemmings.

She added: "They are also more likely to be restless flyers and less adept at sleeping on planes.”

The aisle seat is popular with passengers who like to move around during long flights, or who often go to the bathroom.

Experts have also revealed what it means if you pick the middle seat – often the least favoured by travellers.

Psychologist Guilia Bianchi said these kinds of passengers are often "easygoing, humble and not at all self-important".

Yet on the flip side, others said this kind of traveller can be "disorganised" or "followers not leaders" as it means they may have forgotten to pick their seat, or had someone else book it for them.

The only good thing about a middle seat? You get both arm rests, according to flight attendants.
