Woman pays just 24p for Jet2 package holiday to Spain – here's how | The Sun

A WOMAN has revealed how she paid just 24p for a seven-night holiday to Ibiza.

Zoe Clark from Essex nabbed the bargain holiday to stay at Playa Es Figueral at the Spanish hotspot.

She paid the tiny amount with Jet2holidays as part of their summer Bid on a Break scheme.

Brits can bid on a new holiday every week, and the lowest unique bid is the lucky person.

Zoe was the only person to bid 24p – and so ended up with the week-long break.

She said: "I entered the competition as it's such a great prize – the chance to win a family holiday.

"We are self-building our own house and it was very unlikely we would get to go abroad this year.

"I thought this would be a great way to get abroad, but never imagined I would ever win. It will be so amazing to get away to Ibiza, I have always wanted to go there.

She added: "I just can't believe I have won this for 24p, I did actually mean to type £24, but I accidentally pressed enter!

"I had checked the previous few winners and thought I needed to enter a higher price as I had been entering weekly for less than £10. I am still in shock!”

Strict rule could get you barred from airlines – but people break it every week

Not only does the break come with seven nights at the 4-star Invisa Figueral Resort, but it includes return flights from the UK.

Jet2 boss Steve Heapy congratulated Zoe, adding: "With summer in full swing, we know how much UK holidaymakers want to get away to enjoy some much-needed sunshine, and we are giving them the chance to do just that in a fun way for potentially only a few pence.

"We hope she has a wonderful time in Ibiza."

Jet2's Bid for a Break first launched in 2021, and relaunched this year earlier than ever on April 17 due to demand.

This week's holiday, with bidding already opened, is to Greece.

Anyone who puts in a unique bid before tomorrow could get a seven-night holiday at the 4* Akasha Beach Hotel in Crete.

Other destinations include Spain, Greece, Portugal Turkey and Cyprus with some people winning for as little as 2p.

Lynn Marriot from County Durham was one of the luckiest winners with her 2p holiday being a seven-night holiday to Crete including return flights.

Last year, a man secured a seven-night holiday to Cyprus with the Jet2 scheme including flights and accommodation for just £1.40.

And another couple paid £22 for a holiday to Malta through the Jet2 scheme.
