A WOMAN has revealed a big mistake travellers make at airports that could result in them getting delayed or even missing their flights.
Tiktok user Laila Zubair explained why passengers need to make sure all of their liquids are in a plastic see-through bag and what can happen if any of them are not.
Although her advice was provided specifically for London airports, the rules apply to all airports, meaning passengers everywhere need to be aware.
In a video shared on Tiktok, where her handle is laila.zubair, Laila said: "If you're flying out of any London airport, then you need to watch this.
"All of your carry on liquids must be in a small baggy like this.
"They do provide these bags at airport security, so make sure to pick one up.

"If any of your carry on liquids do not fit inside of this small bag, then your entire carry on bag will be searched fully and it will probably cause you delays in getting to your flight on time."
In response to a comment, she added: "You’d be surprised how many people don’t know this and either get their liquids confiscated or have to wait for security to go through their entire bag."
For some people the advice came too late, with users saying they had already been delayed because of the rule.
One wrote: "I took time to Tetris my perfect bag last week, and Gatwick still threw products away."

The hand luggage liquid rules are very simple to follow and have been around for some time now.
Passengers are only allowed to take containers that have no more than 100ml of liquid in their hand luggage.
Larger quantities of liquid will have to be packed in a suitcase and checked into the plane.
Liquids carried in hand luggage must be put in a single, transparent, resealable plastic bag that measures 20cm by 20cm and is offered by most airports.
Passengers are allowed one plastic bag per person, which must be easily sealed and shown to airport staff, who reserve the right to confiscate any liquids that are over 100ml.
When people arrive at airport security, this transparent bag must be placed on the conveyor belt where it will go through baggage screening.
