Everything is clean and modern, including the contact-free, self-service check-in via tablet, which meant I was able to retrieve my room key with just my name.

There isn't anything to do on-site apart from use the gym, which is open 24 hours, plus there are some desks for remote workers.
However, the hotel is a short walk from Smithfield Market, Piano Works and Fabric nightclub.
What is there to eat and drink?
The hotel has the small all-day bar and restaurant, Komyuniti, which has street food-inspired dishes – a highlight being the hoisin duck bao – as well as craft beers and cocktails.

What are the rooms at Yotel London City like?
There are 212 rooms – from singles to family – although all of them are pretty spacious.
Each has a hairdryer, towels and toiletries as well as a large widescreen TV and reading lights.
The highlight is the recliner-style beds you can put upright or fully flat using a remote, which I had way too much fun playing around with.
The ensuite bathrooms include rainfall showers and a separate toilet, while some of the suites have great views of the city including St Paul's Cathedral and The Shard.
