A stranger struck and grabbed a teen in an unprovoked attack in Manhattan, cops said Monday.
The 18-year-old victim was walking on East 8th Street near Mercer Street in Noho around 12:30 p.m. March 1 when the suspect approached without saying a word — and hit her with an unidentified hard object and grabbed her by the throat, police said.
The brute took off, and the victim refused medical attention on scene.
The attack happened blocks from Washington Square Park and NYU.
The assailant, described as a man between 30 and 40 years old, is shown in surveillance video released Monday afternoon. Cops are still looking for him.
