A BODY has been found in the search for missing camper Adam Perkins who vanished in the countryside.
Adam Perkins, 24, was reported missing while out camping in the area around Great Ayton, North Yorkshire.
He was last seen on March 20 at around 8pm after he set off from his home address in Sheffield.
Cops have now confirmed that a body was found on Friday evening in the search for the missing man.
But North Yorkshire Police say the body found in the Great Ayton has not been formally identified.
A police statement read: "We are very sad to report that we have found a body in the search for missing Adam Perkins, 24, from Sheffield.

"He was found earlier this evening in the Great Ayton area. Although he has not yet been formally identified, Adam's family have been informed."
Cops had already located Adam's car in the Great Ayton area on Thursday and they believed he was nearby.
A spokesperson for the force said at the time: "24-year-old Adam was last seen and heard from on Monday, March 20, at around 8pm when he left his home address in Sheffield to go camping.
"Officers have since located his car in the Great Ayton area and are conducting searches to find Adam. He has visited the area previously to go caving."

Adam, a former Sheffield College student, worked for Yorkshire Water and had previously been employed in the rail sector.
The young man had also enjoyed climbing and kayaking.
